Thirty years ago we didn’t have a clue about salmon farms. Today we know I lot, we have learned it the hard way. What about the next generation?

How did the Arctic look like in 1988? What is the situation today? And how will it look in 2048?

In this side event, we will assemble decision makers research and business and politics to discussions on how to protect the vulnerable environment in the Arctic as well as develop business in the Arctic.

Organized by FRAM – High North Research Centre for Climate and the Environment and Norwegian Institute for Nature Research, in collaboration with Haleyg AS, COAT/UiT and the Fram Centre research program "Environmental impacts of industrial activity in the north (MIKON)"
